Selected from: Warner Bros' message board NightRanger posted 03-03-2000 09:47 AM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In reading a post regarding Neo's last lines; ""I'm going to show them a world without you, a world without rules and controls, without borders or boundaries, a world where anything is possible. Where we go from there is a choice I leave to you."; It got me wondering. Even if Neo showed the people trapped in the Matrix what the real world is about, and how to break the rules of the Matrix; would they want to leave? If they leave, then they have to deal with the desolate world, encased in a 'Nuclear Winter' and scramble to slowly rebuild society. And even before that, they would have to win a war against the AIs. While in the Matrix, these same people would be learning to break down the barriers and break all the rules of logic and physics. Within the Matrix, you could become a 'Superman' You could do anything you want; be anything you want. Change it to what you want it to be. As humans (who usually pick the path of least resistance); wouldn't it backfire on Neo if he liberated people by showing them how to become superpeople with in the Matrix, then tell them its time to leave and rebuild the real world, as mere mortals. Who would want to leave the Matrix? Just a thought NightRanger
